Notes: I sang the National Anthem to begin the race again this year, which was fun and an honor. I thought it would be difficult in the cold air without a sound system, but it was fine. My aim was to run between 32:45 and 33:15. I figured I'd run three 8:15 miles, then try to accelerate a bit on the last one. My watch recorded 8:05/8:21/8:21/7:44. I'm happy with that, especially on the tough uphill part of miles 2 and 3. The last mile starts uphill, but finishes on a nice half-mile long decline. I wasn't passed after the second mile, and felt strong the whole time. It felt good to be so close to my PR on that course (within 15sec). It was also wonderful to see so many friends on Thanksgiving. Running that race is one of my favorite holiday traditions.
