Notes: I felt AWESOME throughout the whole race, even on the butt-kicking starting hill. The night before the race, I was having bad visions about the start hill. However, I managed to kick easily to the top and breeze through the race. The temps were cool, the hills kept the race interesting, and I couldn't stop feeling awesome. Every time I pushed the pace, my body responded in kind. It was fantastic. The downhill finish made for a great end. I was only nine seconds off a PR. Though THRILLED with my time, I couldn't help thinking, "Where could I have gotten 10 seconds?" I was excited to win my age group, as well. Bedford Middle School was represented by six teachers and students, four of whom were age group winners.
