Notes: Jimmy worked so hard to make this race happen in spite of COVID. Conditions were not favorable, but I gave myself a chance to break 23min, and it paid off. If it had been a distance race, I would've slowed down from the start, but I told myself that I could keep it together for 23min... I just had to start on pace. This was a mental battle all the way, but my splits were 7:19/7:23/7:14. I'm thrilled I kept it together. My friend Kristina won, and Rachel got second. I was sixth, and I was WELL under 23min. :-)
