Weather: 30°, Feels like 23°, 7 mph NNW wind, 69% humidity Notes: I signed up for this race on a whim because I've always wanted to run through my alma mater's campus. (I didn't run when I was in college.) The days before the race predicted VERY COLD weather for race day with a real feel of 18°. I convinced my buddy Mitch to run the 5K. Mom came with me to cheer. I tooled along at a comfy pace, thinking the course was pretty hilly. Then I hit Mile 8. WHOA. Dem hills! I walked a few of the bigger hills in the second half because I wasn't in shape for them, but I still had a lot of fun! Checked that race off the list. :-) Photos: 2 — See below. |
